2. Health Data & Google Fit / Health Connect

AddMySteps is designed to write step data to your device's native health tracking systems (Google Fit / Health Connect). Because of the sensitive nature of health data, we adhere to strict privacy practices:

• Local Processing: All health data you input is processed locally on your device and written directly to Health Connect or Google Fit API.
• No Cloud Storage of Health Data: We do not transmit, upload, or store your health data, steps, or activity records on our servers or any third-party servers.
• Explicit Consent: The app will explicitly request system-level permissions to read/write to Health Connect or Google Fit. You can revoke these permissions at any time via your device settings.

3. Data Collection and Usage

To provide core services, secure authentication, offer the PRO unlock, and run advertisements, we use selected third-party services.

A. Account and Authentication (Firebase Auth)

If you choose to create an account, we use Firebase Authentication. This collects:

• Email address and basic profile information (if signing in via Google/Apple).
• Authentication tokens to keep you securely logged in.

B. Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to provide free access to this application. AdMob may automatically collect certain device information, such as:

• Advertising Identifiers (e.g., Google Ad ID).
• Device Information (IP address, operating system, network type).
• Usage Data (ad interactions and application launch metrics).

C. Analytics and Crash Reporting (Firebase)

We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve app stability and user experience. This collects:

• Anonymous crash reports and performance metrics.
• Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics (e.g., which screens are visited most).

D. In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)

To manage PRO / Supporter purchases safely, we integrate RevenueCat. RevenueCat collects:

• Anonymous App User IDs generated upon installation or account creation.
• Purchase history and entitlement status.

Note: All payment processing is handled natively by the Google Play Store. We do not have access to, nor do we store, your credit card details or billing information.

4. Third-Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party services. We highly recommend reviewing their privacy policies:

• Google Play Services, AdMob & Google Fit
• Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Auth)
• RevenueCat

5. European Union Privacy Compliance (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, you are protected by the GDPR. Our app implements Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your explicit consent before showing personalized advertisements.

• Your Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. You have the right to object to processing and to data portability.
• Withdrawal of Consent: You can manage and revoke your advertising consent at any time through your device's system settings or via the privacy options available in the app.

6. US State Privacy Compliance (CCPA)

If you are a resident of California or other applicable U.S. states, you are granted specific rights regarding your personal information.

• Do Not Sell or Share My Info: We do not sell your personal data. We 'share' data strictly with our advertising partner (Google AdMob) to deliver personalized ads. You can opt-out at any time through your device's system settings.
• Right to Know & Delete: You can request information about what ad or purchase data has been collected, or request deletion of such ID footprints by reaching out to our contact email.

7. Data Security

We value your trust. All health data remains entirely on your device or within your chosen Google health ecosystems. For operations requiring internet access (authentication, ads, and purchases), we rely on industry leaders — Google and RevenueCat — that employ top-tier encryption and security protocols over HTTPS connections.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new legal requirements or application features. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where legally required, by prompting you within the app.
